We are all dealing with the old war energy that is overtly presenting itself to us with the Russian – Ukraine situation. We each do it in our own way. To say that it’s an emotional time is surely an understatement. It is important not to stuff down emotions but to acknowledge and work through them.

So I would like to offer you a few tools that continue to work for me to process upsetting, negative emotions and bring me back to a calmer, centred state.

My favourite is FOAL (something I learned from Norah Herold). When triggered with an upsetting emotion:
F – feel it
O – observe it
A – allow it
L – love it and let it go

It may feel uncomfortable to sit with emotions in this way, but I have found if I do they pass relatively quickly in less than a minute.

Wendy Kennedy, channeling the Pleidians, advises to think of something that makes you smile such as a baby animal, perhaps a laughing baby. This brings you back to your heart centre and a present, grounded state. It automatically changes your energetic frequency. As they say, you can feel in a negative state for 3 minutes or 3 years it’s up to us to choose how we want to feel. We have the power to do it.

The effectiveness of these tools improves with awareness of your emotional state and practice. I have found that I will feel better for awhile then not so much. The key is to keep coming back to the tools which will help to sustain a positive state for longer.

This is what we are being called to do now more than ever – to learn how to manage our emotions, our energy for a positive, joyful life every day.
